Black Men In Nursing: Their Experience

This exclusive exciting webinar will have a panel of three Black men who nurse in Ontario. They will share their experiences, their journeys and their struggles as not only as men in nursing but as Black men in nursing. Our panel will include:
Jason Burke: Jason, a registered practical nurse who has worked in rehab at Toronto Rehab, is also expanding his professional experience by working to educate personal support workers. He is also a clinical instructor, currently teaching in the medical office administration program at Centennial College.
Jordan Acheampong: A bilingual critical care and emergency registered nurse, Jordan is originally from Ghana and was raised in Montreal. He graduated in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and currently works as an ER Nurse with goals of expanding his nursing career.
Akim Edwards: A critical care nurse from St. Vincent and the Grenadines who has worked in the ER, Akim has completed his master's degree in nursing and is pursuing a PhD. Akim is also a clinical instructor, and currently works with Indigenous people in remote areas, providing primary care.
