Dear member, 

The Black Nurses Leading Change (working title) Executive would like to hear from you! 

The Executive wants you to choose a permanent name that better represents what the Black Nurses Leading Change stands for.

The Executive would like the name to:

  • better foster the values and beliefs of Black nurses
  • connect Black Nurses and students, be more inclusive within the profession
  • respect the diversity of Black Nurse leaders and students
  • invite the inclusion of perspectives experienced by Black Nurses and students
  • invite and include our allies to network with us
  • raise awareness on health matters and disparities of Black Nurses and their communities
  • advocate for healthier academia and workplace environments
  • enhance cultural competencies for improvement of equitable service delivery and programs

About BNLC
Black Nurses Leading Change (BNLC) working title emanates from the work of RNAO's Black Nurses Task Force, and continues to inform RNAO and our members on issues affecting Black nurses and nursing students. BNLC advocates for anti-Black racism, seeks to offer mentorship, and provides continuing education. It is a safe space for Black nurses and nursing students, and their allies, to network and interact with each other.

Mission: BNLC’s mission is to tackle anti-Black racism in the nursing profession and advocate for the professional advancement of Black nurses.
