At the recent conference, some of you were not aware that there was an application for the Temporary Retention Incentive for Nurses (TRIN) program. This program is for primary care nurses employed by a physician. But, if you work for an organization such as a family health team (FHT) and have not been made aware of this program, please also apply.
There is an upcoming deadline to apply – Monday, Oct. 24, 2022. In order to apply, you will also need access to a secure online platform – please email PCOInquiries@ontario.ca to let them know you need access!
In order to apply, you will have to submit your social insurance number (SIN) and a void cheque through the online platform. This is because the government will be paying this benefit to physician-employed nurses directly. This is different to long-term care or hospital settings, where nurses received this benefit on their pay cheques.
