I am happy to announce that we are extending our early bird conference rate until Tuesday, April 11. You can register on the OPANA website. The conference will be held Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 at the Westin Ottawa.
Information about the conference program
We have a fantastic group of speakers with many different topics, including:
- airway management in PACU
- nasal decolonization and the reduction in SSI
- MAID and Trillium Gift of Life
- IV naloxone infusion for pain management
- updates on thermoregulation
We will also have 2 keynote speakers: Dr. Lucie Filteau, President of the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society, and Dr. Cassendra Munro, Nurse Scientist from Stanford Health, U.S..

Accommodations at discounted rate until Thursday, April 13
We have secured a block of rooms at the Westin for a discounted rate of $245 per night. The discounted rate will only be available until Thursday, April 13. Here is the link: Westin Ottawa

Conference bursaries
Moreover, the National Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses of Canada (NAPANc) will offer a conference bursary of $350 to one member per province that attends the conference. To apply for the bursary, please fill in the attached application form and send it back to opanabod@gmail.com
The deadline to apply for the bursary is Tuesday, April 11. The recipient of the bursary will be announced on Saturday, April 15. The application is attached to this email. If you have any questions, please let us know.
