I am happy to say that the National Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses of Canada (NAPANC) conference registration link is now open. You can register on the OPANA Website. The conference will be held May 13 – 14, 2023 at the Westin Ottawa.
We have a fantastic group of speakers with many different topics, including:
- airway management in PACU
- nasal decolonization and the reduction in SSI
- MAID and Trillium Gift of Life
- IV Naloxone infusion for pain management
- updates on thermoregulation
We will also have two keynote speakers:
- Dr. Lucie Filteau, president of the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society
- Dr. Cassendra Munro, nurse scientist from Stanford Health, U.S.
Early bird registration: on or before Saturday, April 1
- PeriAnesthesia members: $350 includes Sunday hybrid workshop
- Non-PeriAnesthesia members: $450 includes Sunday hybrid workshop
Regular registration: Sunday, April 2 – Monday, May 8
- PeriAnesthesia members: $425 plus option to include Sunday hybrid workshop for $25
- Non-PeriAnesthesia members: $525 plus option to include Sunday hybrid workshop for $25
Sunday hybrid workshop only:
- PeriAnesthesia Members: $80
- Non-PeriAnesthesia Members: $100
We are also accepting posters and abstracts for anyone who wants to present at the conference. Please email any abstract or ideas to opanabod@gmail.com
NEW THIS YEAR – Sunday afternoon workshop!
We are offering a new workshop this year – the workshop will be available for both in-person or virtual attendance, meaning that if you're not able to attend the conference, you can still participate in the workshop virtually. The workshop topics: a pain management review and a massive blood transfusion review.
If you are attending the conference, the fee for the workshop is included with the early bird registration. See above for the workshop fees as a stand-alone item or an add-on to the regular registration fee.
