Hello OPANA members,
On behalf of OPANA, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
We have a few updates for our members. I want to thank everyone who participated and attended the fall Symposium. It was a great success. We had some excellent speakers, and we were able to squeeze in some time for networking.
For our spring conference, OPANA will be hosting in collaboration with NAPANC, our national conference. It will be the first in-person NAPANC conference since 2019. The conference will be held on May 13th and May 14th at the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Ottawa. We are currently trying to recruit vendors and sponsors. Please let us know if anyone has any vendors or sponsors' contacts. Any help and support from our Perianesthesia community would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, a call for poster and oral presentation abstracts will be sent out soon. I'll share details about registration and hotel bookings soon. I've attached a flyer for Save the Date; please share it with your colleagues.
As for your yearly membership, there are two ways you can register. The first way is through RNAO. The second way is via our OPANA website: Join OPANA
If you have joined through RNAO, we ask that you register your email address on our OPANA website to receive all the latest information on our association. Please upload your proof of RNAO payment to register on our website, and we can add your name to our OPANA list.
Lastly, OPANA is committed to continuous perianesthesia education. We will continue to send out newsletters and any educational learning opportunities that are shared with us. You can follow us on Instagram at Opananurses.
