Hello everyone,
Today is the last day to register for OPANA's fall symposium. It will take place tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET on Zoom.
The theme is Refresh, Renew, and Refocus. It will be an excellent opportunity to refresh our perianesthesia knowledge. Continuing education hours will be granted.
The cost is $10 for OPANA members and $40 for those who are not members of OPANA.

Please note that unfortunately, one of our speakers had a family emergency yesterday and will no longer be able to present the topic of ETCO2. However, we have a new speaker, Ashleigh Abbott, who kindly agreed to present on the topic of shock.
We will also have our annual general meeting (AGM) to discuss the upcoming goals and an overall review of OPANA. We do have a few vacant positions on the board of directors available currently:
- president-elect
- treasurer-elect
- secretary-elect
- director of educational resources
- a few regional directors-at-large
If you are interested in any positions, please let me know.
Lastly, this is a friendly reminder to renew your OPANA membership for this upcoming year. OPANA will continue to offer educational opportunities in 2023, and our national conference will be held in Ottawa on May 13–14, 2023.
