Happy (almost) Spring GNAO members!

We, like many of you, are looking forward to warmer weather and opportunities to re-connect with our GNAO members.  Many of our chapters will be hosting chapter education events in the coming months, please read on for information about events happening this month in our Central East and Lambton Chapters.  As well, we continue to plan for our April 25 AGM and to recruit for our provincial Board of Directors.

*****GNAO AGM 2019*****

1. Save the Date: GNAO will host its Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2019 in Toronto at the Holiday Inn at Yorkville (3450 Dufferin Street, Toronto).  Our Greater Toronto Area Chapter will be hosting the AGM which will feature a speaker presentation from the Alzheimer Society Toronto.  Please see the attached flyer (feel free to share it with your colleagues).  Stay tuned to your email and/ or social media for more details in March, including how you can access the AGM via electronic means.

2. GNAO Board Nominations: GNAO is pleased to announce two available Board of Directors positions, President-Elect & Communications Director.  The call for nominations is now open and will remain open until March 15.  We invite you to check out the attached documents (Call for Nominations as well as the Role Descriptions for these positions) and to share your intent to stand for election by March 15 by emailing GNAO Past President, Julie Rubel, at julie.rubel@gmail.com

GNAO Lambton Chapter is proud to welcome, Nicki George, HBSc MHST Indigenous Patient Navigator, BWT and Tanya Baniak Indigenous Liasion, ESC LHIN to discuss "Working with the Indigenous Elderly Population: What you need to know".  The event takes place on Tuesday, March 26.
