Posted on July 14, 2026, 9:14 a.m.

Dear Diabetes Nursing Interest Group (DNIG) members,

We are pleased to invite you to a special DNIG outing to Banting House National Historic Site in London, Ontario—the birthplace of Sir Frederick Banting's groundbreaking idea that led to the discovery of insulin.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026
  • Time: 10 a.m.
  • Location: Banting House National Historic Site, 442 Adelaide St N, London, Ontario
    (519) 673-1752

Following the tour, those who wish to continue the afternoon are invited to join us for lunch at Bear and Frankie's in The Market Lounge at 1130 a.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues, share experiences, and enjoy time together outside of our usual virtual meetings.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP by Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026 by emailing [email protected]. This will help us confirm tour numbers and make arrangements for our lunch reservation. DNIG will cover the cost of the tour and lunch for DNIG members.

We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an inspiring and enjoyable day celebrating the history of diabetes care while connecting with fellow diabetes nursing professionals.

We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Warm regards,

Your DNIG executive
