Hello everyone

You may have seen an email from RNAO asking of your interest in participating in a rally about the drug poisoning crisis and the need for funding of the SCS sites. This rally will take place May 28  in Toronto at 12:30 p.m. RNAO is providing funding for a bus that will take interested parties to Toronto. Pick up will take place in Windsor, London and Kitchener (and possibly Chatham). If you are interested in being at the rally, please register at this link (https://myRNAO.ca/rallyqpscs) by Monday, May 20.

Join us on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. We plan to celebrate Nursing Week with a bit of networking, painting, appetizers, laughter and fun at State & Main. Admission fee is $10 for members and $5 for students. This price includes appetizers – attendees must pay for their own beverages.

Local RNAO members have been invited by the Waterloo Region Health Coalition and the Waterloo Provincial Liberal Association to a Town Hall meeting about preserving our health-care system. The general topic for discussion will be "Patients Not Profits".

The Town Hall is scheduled for Feb. 15 @ 7:30pm at RIM Park with panel guests Dr. Adil Shamji, MPP, Ashley Fox, RPN and Raechelle Devereaux.

Join us on January 25th, as we discuss the importance of self-care for well-being and health and as an essential recruitment and retention strategy in health care. Rebekah will provide an acknowledgment of the collective difficulty and reinforce the need to double down on self-care by discussing strategies to find and expand on opportunities for joy.
