We are currently looking to fill eight consultation representative (rep) positions for RNAO's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) this June. This event serves as an excellent opportunity to join colleagues from across the province and have your voice heard! As a consultation rep, you will help guide the future direction of RNAO.

Just a reminder that there are only two days left for ALL BScN and RPN-BScN nursing students to get FREE membership with RNAO for the rest of the membership year - until Oct. 31, 2023!

Local RNAO members have been invited by the Waterloo Region Health Coalition and the Waterloo Provincial Liberal Association to a Town Hall meeting about preserving our health-care system. The general topic for discussion will be "Patients Not Profits".
The Town Hall is scheduled for Feb. 15 @ 7:30pm at RIM Park with panel guests Dr. Adil Shamji, MPP, Ashley Fox, RPN and Raechelle Devereaux.

Join us on January 25th, as we discuss the importance of self-care for well-being and health and as an essential recruitment and retention strategy in health care. Rebekah will provide an acknowledgment of the collective difficulty and reinforce the need to double down on self-care by discussing strategies to find and expand on opportunities for joy.
Rebekah Churchyard, BA, BSW, MSW, RSW, PMP, Psychotherapist, Social Worker with The Curiosity Clinic will facilitate an interactive session to help us all reinvest in ourselves.

The Waterloo Chapter is entering all Chapter members into a draw to "win back" your annual membership fee (for the 2022/2023 membership year). Monday, December 5 is the last day to be part of our draw (extended from December 1). No action is required from you.

In preparation for the municipal election later this month, we are fortunate to have Michael Parkinson, a leader in harm reduction and social advocacy, speak to us about decriminalization so that you can gain a greater understanding of this important part of harm reduction. This knowledge will help you make an informed decision when you vote for your mayor. It can also help make you a better advocate for those who use drugs.
