The Nipissing Chapter would like to extend an invitation to YOU and all RNAO members across Region 11 to join in the Nipissing University School of Nursing BPSO Symposium. They are excited to connect and celebrate their journey and perspectives on BPG integration into undergraduate nursing education with you!

This symposium is an opportunity for students, faculty, members of the BPSO community, and all RNAO members invited across Region 11 to connect with each other, celebrate highlights of academic work by students, and to envision a future as a BPSO designate.

Happy International Nurses Day and Nursing Week, to all the Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and nursing students in Region 11!

Today, May 12^th, marks International Nurses Day, when nurses and the nursing profession is commemorated globally. May 12 also marks the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the foundational philosopher of modern nursing.

Happy Nursing Week  Sudbury RNAO members,

National Nursing Week takes place from the Monday to the Sunday of the same week as Florence Nightingale’s birthday, Wednesday, May 12. This year National Nursing Week is celebrated from May 10-16. 

The theme this year  is #WeAnswerTheCall…and this year, we sure did answer the call!!

Please note that our Nursing Week Dinner planned for May 10 has been POSTPONED to Fall 2021. We want to keep our tradition when the COVID-19 pandemic will be under control. 

Our next general meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8 at 18:00 on zoom. Our Chapter will send out an email to register closer to the day of. 

As of April 30, we have more than 75,000 individuals vaccinated in the Sudbury and District region!!!

We wanted to take a moment today to THANK YOU and recognize all the amazing work being done by our NPs, RNs, and Nursing Students across Northern Ontario. You have been resilient, and have continued to share your knowledge, skills, and passion for caring with others amid these busy times. You have gone above and beyond.

However, we also know many of you are tired, and at times frustrated. We know you have given up much of your own time to keep going, keep caring, and keep being amazing nurses.
