We invite you to join our upcoming webinar "Caring For The Transgender Person And Role Of The Nurse" this Wednesday evening from 18:00-19:00. Our guest speaker is Dr. Shelley Evans, RN, PhD, a sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor School of Nursing. Please see her bio attached for more information.
Objectives of the webinar:
1) Discussing what it means to be a transgender person including terminology.
2) Understanding gender exploration and transitioning needs for the non-cisgender person
3) Recommendations: 1) pronoun use, 2) creating safe spaces, 3) providing gender affirming language, and 4) active allyship
