August 2025
So much has happened since our last newsletter back in February!
The Kingston Chapter sponsored two students to attend Queen's Park Day in Toronto – Jon Hauth and Claire Campbell. This was an opportunity to network and gain important knowledge of the RNAO’s platform for the provincial and federal elections.
During Nursing Week, held from May 12–18, 2025, your executive team hosted booths at Providence Manor (May 12), Kingston General Hospital (May 13), and Hotel Dieu Hospital (May 14) to connect with members and answer questions.
On May 14, we hosted a well-attended appreciation event featuring a magic show by local magician Rob Driscoll, which was enjoyed by all. What a fantastic night of fun and laughter.
On May 29–30, RNAO held its 100th Annual General Meeting, marking a century of action and impact. Several members of the Kingston executive team attended, along with our two SLC student Executive Networking Officers who were sponsored by the Kingston Chapter Executive. The event provided excellent opportunities for learning, networking and collaboration.
On June 3rd, members from the Kingston Executive team attended the 9th annual Synapse Nursing Symposium held at SLC in Brockville. We were able to donate $100 to help with costs. This year’s theme was “Rural and Remote Healthcare: Reflecting on the Past, Evolving for the Future.”
