Season's greetings! - Awards $

Posted on Dec. 20, 2023, 12:01 p.m.

Good day colleagues,

Warmest greetings to you during this festive season! As we revel in the joy of Christmas and embrace the spirit of the holidays, we extend heartfelt wishes for a merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. In the midst of these challenging times, we acknowledge the dedication and hard work of each and every one of you who continue to contribute to our shared success in providing health care to Ontarians.

In recognition of the unique circumstances, we find ourselves in, we were delighted to introduce our special initiative a few years ago – colleague-to-colleague meetings. We believe that fostering connections and camaraderie is essential, especially when faced with the potential isolation that can accompany challenging periods. Through these meetings, we aim to create a supportive space for you to engage with your colleagues, share experiences, and build meaningful connections.

May these colleague-to-colleague meetings not only provide a refreshing break but also serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement. Together, let us celebrate the strength of our team and the resilience that binds us.

Can you help?

We need your help in finding references to these statements – we are developing a position statement for the CNS-ON. This is the part with which we need assistance:

“CNSs enhance the practice of nursing through the generation, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of evidence-based knowledge [ref.?]. CNSs are leaders in knowledge translation in health care. The research shows, for example, that CNSs reduces length of stay [ref.?], costs [ref.?], and improves health-care outcomes[ref.?]. CNSs contribute to the development of healthy public policy[ref.?].”  Other key items impacting health care ? [ref.?]
