Hello member,

The International Nursing Interest Group (INIG) of the Registered Nurses of Ontario (RNAO) cordially invites you to it’s general meeting on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. ET. This event is free and will be available virtually through Zoom.

We will have a guest speaker, Nasrin (Nasreen) Alostaz, who will present, The IEN Journey: What Research Tells Us About the Pathway to Integration

Internationally educated nurses will be able to:

1. Map their current stage in the journey against their research-informed milestone.

2. Identify key decision points where strategic choices have the most impact on long-term success.

3. Create and tailor a personalized, evidence-based action plan–including licensure navigation, workplace integration, and professional development– aligned with their professional goals and background training and expertise.

Nasrin (Nasreen) Alostaz is an internationally educated nurse (IEN) with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a master’s degree in nursing education, a master’s degree in science, and a Ph.D. in nursing from McMaster University.
