Charity Okpara, NP-PHC, MScN, RN(EC), is a Nurse Practitioner working in General Internal Medicine and MRP–NP in Complex Continuing Care. She has been an active member of RNAO for many years, contributing in various volunteer roles that reflect her commitment to nursing leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
Her involvement has included serving in the Nurse Ambassador Program, where she has spoken at community events about the nursing profession, and volunteering twice as an external reviewer for RNAO’s Best Practice Guidelines. She also served for two consecutive years as a Consultation Representative, providing input on resolutions presented at the Annual General Meeting.
She is honoured to serve as Chair of the York West Chapter, and look forward to supporting our members, strengthening engagement, and continuing to make a meaningful impact within our nursing community.
My name is Amal Hirole. I’m currently a nursing student and I have experience in administrative support, event coordination, and community engagement through my academic and work roles. I’m especially interested in connecting with other nursing students and professionals, learning more about advocacy, and contributing to initiatives that support both students and the community. I’m excited to be part of the group!
Hi everyone! My name is Zenab Sana, and I’m a nursing student at York University going into my 4th year in September. I’m excited to be stepping into the role of RNAO Student Representative.
I’m really passionate about nursing, especially when it comes to advocacy, health equity, and supporting both patients and fellow nursing students. Through my experiences as a nurse extern, research assistant, personal support worker, and being involved in student leadership roles, I’ve developed a strong interest in improving the nursing profession and creating more supportive environments for students.
As a student representative, I hope to be a voice for students, help share opportunities, and encourage more involvement with RNAO initiatives. I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you and working together throughout the year!
Feel free to reach out anytime — I’d love to get to know you all 😊
