Queen's Park On The Road
It's late fall and we're gearing up to visit the MPPs in Mississauga to speak out on the housing crisis and the nursing crisis. Where one lives and the affordability of that home is uppermost in Ontarians minds. Have an opinion to share drop us a line at rnaomississauga@gmail.com most of the meetings are on Fridays and they can be in person or virtual. It really helps if we have a constituent of the riding as the MPPs prefer to meet with someone from their community. Don't worry one of our PPANs will be there to support you.
As of June 1st, 2022, the Mississauga Chapter became a new Chapter of RNAO.
We are in the process of forming a new group of Executive Networking Officers, a crucial step in shaping the future of our chapter. Your active participation in the nomination process is highly encouraged.
We are fortunate to have dedicated leaders like our President, Paula Manuel (Past President of Peel Chapter), who will continue to serve until the end of 2024. We are in the process of updating this page with bios for the other team members. However, we still have some key positions to fill Membership officer, and President. Your contribution in these roles will be invaluable. As a long time RNAO member I am happy to mentor any individuals who join the executive.
Our Chapter attended Queen's Park Day and the Assembly of Leaders; as we know, the RN in all roles faces challenges. RNAO continues to lobby for more RNs and ensure the role is fully utilized, and BPSO (creators of BPGs) is 20 years old.
More details about upcoming events and opportunities to be on the executive will be available soon..
