Happy Spring GNAO Members!   The promise of spring has encouraged your GNAO board to continue our efforts to engage with you and keep you tapped in to what’s happening in the world of gerontological nursing. Below you will find details about GNAO’s upcoming conference, next year’s CGNA conference and other exciting opportunities.   --------------------------------------------------   GNAO 2018 Biennial Conference, ‘It Takes A Village'- April 12 & 13 in Niagara Falls   There is still time for you to be a part of GNAO’s first provincial conference since 2014! We would love to have you join the GNAO board and members from across Ontario as we examine the village involved in providing exceptional care to older adults. The call is meant for those who have exciting innovations or successes in practice they want to share via a poster board presentation. Please see the attached document for full details. The deadline for submission is April 2, 2018.   --------------------------------------------------   In conjunction with the 2018 Biennial Conference, GNAO will hold its AGM. In our last email, we shared documents including the proposed agenda, minutes from the 2017 AGM, and available board positions. We are now excited to share with you our most recent auditor’s report as well as a resolution for your consideration. Lastly, please note the Professional Advocacy position is also available. Canadian Association on Gerontology (2018) - CAG Call for Abstracts   CAG is pleased to announce their 47th Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting on October 18th-20th, 2018. The theme of the conference will be: Making It Matter: Mobilizing Aging Research, Practice & Policy. We hope that you can join us in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.   CAG 2018 is your opportunity to share your research and other work in the field of aging with your national and international colleagues from a diverse spectrum of disciplines. Abstracts are welcome from all disciplines and all interests in aging, including research, practice, policy and related areas. International submissions are encouraged.   Individuals are encouraged to submit abstracts which address this year's theme, though all submissions will be given equal consideration.   Abstracts may be submitted for oral, poster, symposium and workshop presentations.
