PedNIG Symposium 2021- Special Guest Presentation by Pam Hubley

Hello, 

The 2021 PedNIG Symposium is quickly approaching!  We look forward to presenting the 2021 symposium as a virtual web series featuring the latest knowledge and innovation in paediatric care! Presentations will be released on a weekly basis between September 20, 2021, and October 11, 2021.

As part of the content released in week 4 of the series, we will be featuring a guest presentation from Pam Hubley titled Compassionate care: Why we need more and how to cultivate it. It is going to be an exciting session that you won’t want to miss!

Pam Hubley’s contributions to nursing practice, policy and education have advanced many innovations through the implementation of leading practices, new models of care and integrated academic practice roles.  Her ability to build capacity in individuals, teams and systems has inspired many and fostered healthy, healing work environments that advance evidence informed care and robust professional ecosystems.  Her commitments to child and family centred care and partnership are fundamental in her leadership.

A trailblazer and executive at SickKids, Pam’s passion for children’s health and whole systems transformation is energizing.  She is a thought leader and change agent known for her strengths-based approach, results orientation and positive influence.  

Pam received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario (1987), a Master of Science from the University of Toronto (1993), and an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner diploma from the University of Toronto (1995).  She is a Fellow of the J&J Wharton Nurse Executive program through the University of Pennsylvania, a graduate of the Rotman Advanced Health Leaders Program at the University of Toronto and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing.

Currently Pam holds the role of Vice-President of Education & Academic Practice and Chief of International Nursing at SickKids in Toronto, Canada.
