Hello PedNIG members, 

Dear PedNIG members, 

Every year PedNIG strives to give back to its members and support ongoing professional development and life-long learning through our bursaries. We offer education, research and conference and workshop bursaries, however these opportunities are exclusively available to PedNIG members. 

As we open up our applications for the 2019 bursaries, we want to share some stories from our 2018 recipients. PedNIG’s bursaries help nurses and students achieve their ongoing education goals to better outcomes for the children and families we care for as pediatric nurses. 

Dear PedNIG members, 

PedNIG is delighted to be hosting our Annual General Meeting in conjunction with the RNAO AGM on April 13, 2019 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.  At our AGM, in addition to sharing the business of the interest group, we will be featuring a keynote guest speaker; details to follow. Come join us for a delicious breakfast and to learn more about what you as a pediatric nurse can do to support the health of your patient and family!

As an interest group, we are concerned about the health and well-being of Ontario children and youth.  As an interest group, we would like to submit a resolution about the closure of the Ontario Child Advocate to be presented at the 2019 RNAO AGM.

As an interest group focusing on the health and well-being of children and youth, we would like our members to review the following the resolution on sexual education to be brought forward to the RNAO Annual General Meeting. This resolution is being brought forward in collaboration with the Rainbow Nurses Interest Group, Community Health Nurses Initiatives Group, Maternal Child Nurses' Interest Group and the Sudbury & District Chapter.
