  • Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario Virtual Gala Tickets

    Dear ONIG Members,

    We are excited to have purchased two tables for the Registered Nurses’ Foundation of Ontario Virtual Gala and would like to offer tickets to our members to attend. At this gala, we will celebrate nursing scholarship award winners, including the winner of the Ontario Nursing Informatics Group. The value of the tickets are $75.

    ONIG’s first 2021 Virtual Education Session titled: “Viewing the Nursing Informatics Profession from a Professional Practice Perspective”

    Date: Wednesday February 24th 2021 at 1900-2000

    Guest Speaker: Courtney Houldsworth is a paediatrics/ NICU nurse educator at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario. She is currently working as part of a team to support a four hospital electronic medical record implementation.

    Dear Ontario Nursing Informatics Group Members,

    The WHO International Year of the Nurse has turned out to be an incredibly challenging year. We want to thank you for all you have done and wish you all the best this holiday season.

    In 2021 we will have a lineup of virtual speakers who will share their interesting informatics projects and studies. Stay tuned!

  • 2020 National Survey of Canadian Nurses: Use of Digital Health Technology in Practice

    Dear ONIG Members,

    The Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association (CNIA) in collaboration with Canada Health Infoway (Infoway), invite you to participate in their voluntary and confidential 15-30-minute online survey on your use of digital health technologies in nursing care.

    This survey was conducted in 2014 and 2017. The 2020 survey aims to track progress and explore advancing areas of digital health in nursing practice. Your input is critical to informing and advancing the use of digital health in nursing practice.
