RNAO NRIG Fall 2022 Newsletter

Posted on Sept. 8, 2022, 2:15 p.m.

Hello NRIG members

I hope you all enjoyed the last week of Summer. Please see attached our Fall newsletter.

I am thrilled to welcome New NRIG Executive Members who are featured in this issue of the NRIG Newsletter. I welcome you to read about the new executive members who are committed to serving you! For the first time, NRIG now has four student representatives: Kieran Blake (Nipissing University), Connor Kucharic (Trent University), Claire Stather, and Caitlin Cosgrove (Toronto Metropolitan University) providing the most geographical reach NRIG has ever had. The engagement of nursing students is critical to building research capacity. With our ability to reach more nurses and nursing students in Ontario, our current nursing workforce has the capacity to lead the change we need to move our health system forward. With this, NRIG will be increasing our outreach and promotion this year, hosting an inaugural three-way university-wide student competition, and offering regular research webinars in the form of guest speakers, panels, and "In conversation..." series that will appeal to all members.

NRIG is a forum to promote and amplify nursing research. If you are interested in presenting/sharing your work with the members of NRIG, fill out your information in the link below and an NRIG representative will confirm the details with you via email. https://forms.gle/EPBdRF6UzhzHQmM77

NRIG is here to support your research needs! Reach out and let us know how we can support you in either learning more about research or helping you share your findings with our community. If there is content you want us to start developing, please let us know. Email us: nrig.chair@gmail.com. Visit our website (nrig.ca), and follow our Instagram, (@rnao.nrig), Facebook (facebook.com/RNAO.NRIG/), and Twitter (@RNAOnrig) to stay updated on our upcoming events and opportunities!

Kindest regards,

Charlene Chu, RN, PhD
