The 2021 Annual General Meeting has been rescheduled from its original date of April 29, 2021 to May 27, 2021 from 6-7:30pm EST via Zoom Platform.

Two vacancies on the GNAO Board of Directors are open for nomination and election at this Annual General Meeting:  President Elect and Communications.  Position descriptions attached or email Therese Lim GNAO Past President at  limt@tbh.net for more information.

Attached are:  the 2021 AGM Documents (Agenda and 2020 AGM Minutes); the 2020 Annual Report and the position descriptions for President Elect and Communications Director.

Bring a GNAO colleague.  GNAO Student members are also welcome to attend.

Reminder to Greater Hamilton Area GNAO Members

The Greater Hamilton Area Chapter of GNAO are accepting applications for our chapter’s Education Fund and the deadline is extended to Friday, May 21.

You may apply for two categories of awards:

A) Individual Awards (up to $600)

Recipients will receive partial financial reimbursement for scholarly activities that are directly related to gerontological nursing practice.  This could include:

  *   courses, seminars, certificate programs, attendance at conferences (e.g., CGNA Conference)

  *   course work at a recognized college or university where the topic is related to gerontological nursing practice – members may apply every two years for course funding, but priority will be given to first-time applicants.

  *   CNA Gerontological Nursing Certification Exam

(B) Funding for an educational program or resource (up to $600) that will benefit a group of individuals in a long term care or retirement home setting. This could include:

  *   A train-the-trainer workshop

  *   A video or toolkit

  *   A webinar series
