Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly, and we are seeing the season transforming with its changes in colour, light and temperature.

GNAO Central East Chapter - Fall Education Event Announcement 

GNAO CE Chapter members, 

A free education event is being offered on Thursday October 17, 2019 @ 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Keeping Caregivers a Part of Care - A discussion about how Gerontological Nurses can integrate the needs of caregivers caring for frail seniors, into their daily practice. 

Location:  Golden Plough Lodge, Cobourg

GNAO Greater Hamilton Area Chapter Education Bursary due October 2019

GNAO Greater Hamilton Area Chapter members,

Please consider applying by Friday, October 18, 2019 for the chapter’s Education Bursary. This fund was developed to "enhance the scholarships and clinical capabilities of our members”. You can apply for an individual awards or funding for an educational program or resource. Please find the Education Bursary application2 attached. And mark your calendars as we will have another call for applications in April 2020.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN - 2019 Toronto Geriatrics Update Course – November 1-2, 2019

Sinai Health System and the University Health Network's 7th Annual Toronto Geriatrics Update Course is taking place on Friday November 1st and Saturday November 2nd at the Michener Institute, 222 St. Patrick St., Toronto, ON 

The annual Geriatrics Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Course has been designed to provide front-line practitioners with the latest practical and evidence-based knowledge they need to better manage the care of their older patients. This two-day CPD Course will feature high quality/interactive lectures, workshops and small group sessions that focus on the assessment and management of geriatric syndromes and common issues that arise in the care of an older patient.
