Hello to all the members of York East Chapter-RNAO. This is our first communication for the new fiscal year(2025-2026). What better to do than introduce your Chapter Executive.
Rhonda Seidman-Carlson, Chair (NEW). Rhonda has been a member of RNAO for over 25 years. She has been active as Regional Representative on the Board; RNAO President; and a number of other board positions. She was involved in the development of the Retired Nurses Interest group in 2017. Rhonda remains active in political action through RNAO and other community groups.
Yoyo Chen Policy and Political Action ENO (since 2022). Yoyo’s background is in emergency nursing and public health. She has worked extensively within the advocacy sphere for vulnerable populations. She is in her second term as PPAN for the Chapter and is excited to continue representing the voices of nurses across the province.
Valeria Parker, Finance ENO (NEW). Valeria brings a strong clinical foundation as a former neuro-trauma ICU nurse. She completed her Masters of Health Administration at the University of Toronto and holds the certified health executive (CHE) designation. In her current management role, Valeria oversees a large provincial program, leading initiatives to enhance system performance and outcomes.
Sheila Shahrokhi, Communications ENO (NEW). Sheila is a trauma neuro ICU nurse at a major teaching hospital in Toronto. She is excited to contribute her expertise and passion for nursing to advance the organization’s goals.
Mark Anthony Gravoso, Workplace Liaison ENO (NEW). Mark Anthony is an internationally educated nurse (IEN) and a registered nurse specializing in general internal medicine and vascular access. He is a dedicated advocate for IENs.
Current vacant ENO positions: Membership; Social Media; and Student Liaison. Please consider joining us in supporting nurses and nurses within our region and provincially through many of the RNAO activities. Email [email protected] should you wish to get involved.
We want to host a number of events this year but in order to do that, we need to hear from you. Please complete the survey found below to help us provide what you want and need from your Chapter.
