Join the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario's (RNAO) Waterloo Chapter on Tuesday, Oct. 20 for a virtual event on nutrition and fitness. During this chapter meeting, you will meet Eva McKeown, a certified personal trainer for Bfit4Fun and JoAnne LeGal, a nutrition coach from ReShape Nutrition Coaching. Together they will give tips and tricks on self-care. It is time we start putting ourselves higher on our to-do list.

Waterloo Chapter Event Fall 2020: Twitter for Professionals
Learn how professionals can use Twitter to support their work, and leverage social media to advocate for healthy public policy.
This virtual event will feature Lauren Crutchlow, Project Development Officer at the Schlegel Centre for Advancing Seniors Care. Lauren will discuss how to use Twitter to support professional work, in a safe and effective way. A discussion on leveraging Twitter and social media for advocating for healthy public policy will follow, including tips and tricks for success.

Candidates must be members in good standing of the Waterloo Chapter and agree to serve the term if elected unless otherwise stated. Nominated members will be elected by the one member, one vote system during the campaign period in July.

Thank you to those who came out to our Jan. 16, 2019 event, featuring the guest speakers from the Region of Waterloo Public Health and Emergency Services and the Sanguen Health Centre. We had a great turn out, and great education on harm reduction in Waterloo Region.
For our next meeting, we will focus on networking and team building within the Waterloo Chapter. The meeting will take place on March 21, 2019. The chapter meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m.

For our next meeting, we will focus on education and resources in Waterloo region for nurses, focusing on elder abuse.
