RNAO commemorates Black History Month in February and throughout the year.
Region 10 will kick off the year by hosting a presentation session with Dania Versailles as our keynote speaker.
Dania is the director of clinical services for the Ottawa branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association and a co-chair of the Black Nurses Leading Change (BNLC) interest group of RNAO. She will be presenting on the theme, "Appreciation of diversity: How is nursing responding?"
After the presentation, we will have an engaging conversation on the journey of inclusion in nursing with the goal of promoting allyship and effectuating diversity. Join us in this safe space to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of Black nurses.
All members and non-members are invited to attend this presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 6–8 p.m.
