Dear RNAO Algoma Chapter Member,
~ Happy Nursing Week 2020! Happy Year of the Nurse and Midwife! ~
Be proud of your profession and yourself. You are continuously contributing to making our communities stronger and healthier. Your commitment, sacrifice, compassion, and courage do not go unnoticed, especially in times like these. As nurses and nursing students, we continue to make a difference in the lives of many.
To celebrate Nursing Week in these unique circumstances, we hope you take some time to do something for yourself – practice self-care, take a break, and reflect on your nursing journey.
What made you want to be a nurse? What has been your favorite, most memorable, or challenging, moment? Who was your biggest inspiration or role model in nursing?
Share these stories with family, friends, and colleagues.
This is a time to celebrate, reminisce on how far nursing has come, and look forward to the endless possibilities and new heights we will continue to reach as a profession well into the future.
A reminder to SAVE THE DATE for Nurses' Night, which has been postponed to Thursday, October 29th, 2020. Join our Facebook Event Page (Nurses' Week Dinner & Entertainment Night) for updates and mark your calendars for a great night of food, entertainment, and nursing fun with colleagues, friends, and family! This is sure to be a much-needed celebration and one you will not want to miss.
We look forward to celebrating together soon!
All the best,
Lil Bressan, Algoma Chapter President
