Members. We Need Your Help For Queen's Park On The Road 2020

Posted on Nov. 25, 2020, 3:09 p.m.

Engaging your MPP has never been easier thanks to RNAO’s signature event Queen’s Park on the Road (QPOR).

As of Nov 16, QPOR 2020 has officially begun - Virtually! QPOR is an exciting annual event that encourages RNAO members to meet their MPPs (list included below) within their local constituency office to discuss key nursing, health, and health-care delivery issues. The event is a fantastic opportunity to engage your elected representatives where you live on the matters that are important to you as an RNAO member. As a health professional, this is a chance to bring your experiences and expertise to life for those we elect to deliver the best health care possible to Ontarians.

This year, we will be highlighting the need for change on two current issues –

1.    Protecting Ontario’s nursing home residents

2.    Opioid overdoses: Ontario’s forgotten public health crisis

Fact sheets and political action bulletins have been developed to support a focused and informed discussion on these issues. Visit QPOR.RNAO.ca to review these resources and other tools to prepare, plan and lead meetings with your MPP.

If you are interested in participating in any of our upcoming virtual meetingsplease contact Erin McPherson , Policy and Political Action Network (PPAN) Officer for Region 7 - Toronto East  at erinmcp@gmail.com
