Good evening ONEIG!

We hope you're all enjoying the spring! We're writing to invite you to our upcoming quarterly meeting with members and to share some news and great opportunities.

Join ONEIG for our Spring Quarterly Meeting, to talk about the upcoming RNAO resolutions and provide direction for our representative this year, co-chair Rob Samulack!  Also learn about the results of our member survey and get an update on our activities, including our application to attend this year's climate COP! We would love to meet more ONEIG members and also answer any questions about joining our executive team!

Politics and Policy:
Land use changes in Bill 97 has prompted an Urgent Action Alert from the Alliance for a Liveable Ontario:
“On April 6th, the Province proposed more destructive changes to provincial planning laws. Last week our expert planning advisors finally finished their comprehensive review. Their conclusions are truly alarming: if implemented, the proposed changes will turbocharge sprawl and fatally harm Ontario's agricultural sector and environment. They would also squander scarce building resources and developer capacity to address housing shortages.”
