In case you missed it, our Fall 2023 newsletter is out! I have attached the newsletter to this email, or you can read it here on our interest group's website.

Also, a wonderful free learning opportunity has popped up! On Tuesday, Dec, 12, 2023, there will be a webinar on Examining Moral Distress in Health Care from 1–2 p.m. ET.

This webinar will be presented in partnership with RNAO, Harm Reduction Nurses Association, Mental Health Nursing Interest Group, Community Health Nurses’ Initiative Group, Moms Stop the Harm and the National Safer Supply Community of Practice. The objectives are as follows:

  • enhance understanding about moral distress
  • learn how to recognize how moral distress presents and its experienced
  • reflect on the systemic and structural challenges and how it affects moral distress
  • analyze the role of workplace psychological safety as it relates to organization and system support

Participants will gain a deeper understanding about moral distress and the role of workplace psychosocial safety in creating a supportive environment.
