Hello Ottawa nurses!

We hope that you were able to have time this holiday season to take care of yourselves and be with your family and friends. Region 10 wants to send our well wishes and promise to keep advocating for nurses in this new year.

We are hosting our second speaker presentation, "What’s fresh in Geriatric nursing? – innovations and issues in geriatric nursing today."

We will have two speakers who are experts in geriatric nursing. Our first speaker is Marney Cooper, who has been a geriatric nurse specialist at The Ottawa Hospital for many years and is currently the Clinical Operations Manager of the Ontario Workforce reserve for Senior Support.

Our second speaker is Julie Rubel, who has worked as a gerontological nurse for her entire career and is the president-elect of the Canadian Gerontological Nurses Association.

After both presentations, we will have an engaging Q&A session where our two speakers can connect and our attendees can ask their questions.

All members and non-members are invited to attend this presentation on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 7–9 p.m.
