Hi to all our Ontario Campus Nurses
Happy New Year.....wait did someone say it's March already!!!! Wow how time flies.
I am sending along an update on two important topics.
- There will be an AGM for the Ontario University and Colleges Health Association ( OUCHA)on May 15th. As you may or may not know the RNAO special Interest group for Ontario Campus Nurses is a double hat with nursing chapter of OUCHA. A similar meeting hold will be sent out on the OCHA (Ontario Campus Health Association) list serve.
- The RNAO SIG for campus nurses/OCHA has been working very hard to have campus Health Centres recognized by the MOH as a primary care source. As you are all aware campus nurses were left out of Covid incentive bonus's as well as the TRIN funding. Among other funding opportunities that primary care offices get that we have never been included on.
- We are also working with your managers and directors to get your clinics attached to your regional Ontario Health Team.
So if you haven't heard much lately from us we are moving some very big balls forward.
