A new resource has just been released to help keep newcomer workers safe on the job!
For new immigrant workers in Canada, language barriers can have health and safety implications. In a recent IWH study led by Dr. Basak Yanar, employers shared the challenges they’ve faced in safely integrating immigrants into their workplaces. They also shared the strategies they use—from translation apps to buddy systems. These strategies now form a new resource, created for supervisors, managers and small business owners who hire and manage new immigrants.
This resource is freely available in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic.
