We are excited to introduce you to our newest executive member Evelyn Simach who joins the team as our Communications Executive Network Officer:
“I am an Occupational Health and Safety professional with over 25 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including 13 years in leadership within a unionized healthcare environment. I hold a Master’s in Occupational Health and Hygiene and am COHN certified. As I look to the next chapter of my career, I am deeply committed to mentoring and supporting emerging Occupational Health Nurses and helping shape the future of the profession. Throughout my career, I have seen the impact that strong guidance, practical education, and supportive leadership can have on both individual nurses and the healthcare system. My work has always been grounded in collaboration, evidence-based practice, and a genuine commitment to protecting and uplifting those who care for others. I am excited about the opportunity to share my knowledge, support skill development, and help create pathways for the next generation of Occupational Health professionals, ensuring they are equipped, confident, and inspired to lead safe, healthy, and resilient workplaces. Outside of work, I am enjoying staying active through road cycling, fitness, and hiking and practicing the very values of health and well-being that I promote in the workplace.”
