Students from the U of T Lawrence. S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing and the Waakebiness - Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health have organized a full day event on Indigenous perspectives on trauma-informed care.
Through a decolonized lens, we are taking a look at the effects and outcomes of colonialism and learning about trauma, wellness and healing from an Indigenous perspective.
The event will feature:
- plenary sessions on Indigenous trauma-informed policy, women engagement,Indigenous wellness, & Indigenous health promotion and harm reduction
- resource fair featuring some of the most important Indigenous organizations in the GTA
- nreakout sessions highlighting the outcomes of intergenerational trauma and approaches to healing
