ORANGE SHIRT DAY: Every Child Matters

Posted on Sept. 28, 2020, 4:31 p.m.

Dear CHNIG Members,

On September 30th, please join CHNIG and communities across Canada in recognizing Orange Shirt Day. This is the time to honour the Survivors of Residential Schools, their families, and communities that are impacted, and commit to Reconciliation.

Wearing an orange shirt and promoting “Every Child Matters,” is an affirmation of our commitment to raise awareness of the inter-generational impacts of Residential Schools and to ensure that every child matters, as we work together for a better future in which children are empowered to help each other.
