Addressing Mental Health and Substance Use Challenges - Professional Development Workshop

Dear member,

Develop a better understanding of the evidence-based recommendations identified within four mental health and substance use RNAO best practice guidelines (BPG) during our full-day workshop, hosted by Region 2. These guidelines will help health-care professionals build capacity and support practice when working with clients experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. The BPGs that will be presented are:

  • Assessment and Care of Adults at Risk for Suicidal Ideation and Behaviour
  • Crisis Intervention for Adults Using a Trauma-Informed Approach: Initial Four Weeks of Management Third Edition 
  • Engaging Clients Who Use Substances
  • Promoting Safety: Alternative Approaches to the Use of Restraints

This workshop is open to RNAO members and non-members. Registration is limited – please make sure you register early to secure a spot. A light breakfast, lunch, and two refreshment breaks will be provided and are included in the event fee.
