  • Greening Nursing School Community of Practice

    Posted on April 5, 2024, 11:15 a.m.

Meet virtually with nursing educators and those interested in nursing education from across Canada. Discuss projects to implement planetary health into nursing curriculum or practical projects like greening the lab. If you are already undertaking such a project, please share it with the others. If you are not sure where to start, this is a good place to find inspiration.

The hope is that this group will have recurrent meetings every two months or at least once a semester, and it will become a community of practice where like-minded nurses can connect.

  • OCHNA Update

    Posted on Feb. 28, 2022, 2:58 p.m.

    Hi all

2022 is off to a roaring start. With pandemic measures being lifted hopefully we can all get back to some form of normal activity.  I am sure we all have the Ukraine and the people of Russia in our hearts and hope a swift resolution to that conflict occurs.

Our executive is meeting next week to determine what we can do for a spring meeting. If you have any educational ideas please email me and let me know what you may like to see at tammy.datars@sheridancollege.ca.

    Dear Member,

I am so happy to announce that we are ready to have our annual meeting as part of the annual RNAO meeting.  It has been a long time since there has been any activity from the Campus Nurses group but we are hoping to create some fresh movement!!

Cathy Jager the Education and Nurse Manager from McMaster Student Wellness and Dr. Fletcher one of her amazing MD's will present on Trans Care, what training is needed, health promotion, what medical and counselling care is provided and how they have handled challenges along the way.

  • Spring Summer Meeting

    Posted on March 1, 2021, 10:06 a.m.

    Hi All

Now that we have a full executive we can get down to the business of planning a spring/summer meeting (probably virtual if I have to make a guess).

I would like to put a question out to the group about what educational topic would you like to have.  A suggestion about trans care in the campus world maybe a great opportunity for us to learn about a new and increasing need for our students on campus.

If the general census is in support of that topic let me know, if not please suggest other areas.  We will take the top suggested topics into consideration.
